SUNDAY BRUNCH
Today was be extra kind to yourself day … sooooo, I made myself a special brunch. It was a fluffy ham and egg cheese stuffed omelet. Used Provel cheese from Imo’s because it melts smooth and creamy inside without over cooking the outside. Also had a side of fresh, frozen strawberries and a glass of V-8 juice. Wow, that covered all the food group bases.
I must say, I’m becoming addicted to the fresh, frozen strawberries. I made them because I purchased a huge box of fresh berries that were on sale at the stupidmarket last week. I washed them, removed the stems, dusted them with sugar and stored them five to a bag in the freezer. Then I bring them to partially thaw before eating. It’s like eating the forbidden fruit or fresh strawberry sorbet.
And yes, I saved a couple of bites of my omelet for Mlle Renee who sat by drooling as I cooked it. She thought the ham was bacon.
30 DAYS OF CREATIVITY … DAY 10: SUN DAY
Given the DoC Creative Inspiration Calendar theme of VIDEO GAMES, I opted out for my own creative theme of SUN DAY!
Since I didn’t feel like walking down to the corner with the Sunday newsstand and plunking down $2.50 for a newspaper that has degenerated into little more than a weekly throw-away, I decided to do a little puttering in the garden. The result was this photo.

30 DAYS OF CREATIVITY … DAY 9: COOL, CLEAR AND CASCADING!
Today’s theme from the 30DoC Inspiration Calendar was WATER. This meant I was either taking a trip down to walk along the Mighty Mississippi …
… or heading out to Forest Park for a walk along the many steams, lakes and fountains. I opted for Forest Park where I was able to capture a multitude of photos … all depicting the powers of cool, clear WATER.
Wading water bears!
Reflecting streams!
And the wonder of nature’s wetlands.
I opted out for the historic Cascades in Forest Park. Would you go for the cool, clear, cascading water on a late spring day when the temp tops 90?
