When Friday Becomes Fry Day!
My US Army Official Food Inspection Thermometer at 1:30 DST on Friday, July 6, 2012 … in the shade on the way to 106 for the ninth record-breaking day in a row over 100!
It’s a wonder any of the flowers are still blooming.
The gold lily … the only one that opened.
The Red Rose – gives new meaning to everblooming!
The Pink Rose – close second to the Red in everblooming race!
The Rose Of Sharon … living up to its biblical reputation!
Despite the heat and the drought these are the blooming standouts! Of course, they’re getting daily watering. Don’t ask about the gladioli!

So glad you’re not to water rationing yet. Have the temps dropped at all?
As of late Sunday afternoon the cold front began moving in bringing rain and cooler temps. We’re looking at mid 80s to low 90s for the rest of the week.
