TIME FOR A LITTLE TREAT

Sometimes you just have to give into your inner carvings and desires. Well, sometimes happened to be this afternoon when I was trying to decide what to fix for tonight’s dinner. And frankly, I wasn’t interested in what the main course would be  … my desires centered on dessert!

NUTTY CINNAMON BUN CUPCAKES

Who needs words, just drool over the picture. Actually being in a totally lazy day mood, I did my cupcakes the easy way. When shopping last week I bought a half-dozen cans of 5-count cinnamon buns that were on sale. Today I chopped a bunch a bunch of pecans that were stored in the fridge. Then I opened the can of buns and separated the contents into five buns and rolled each bun into the chopped nuts. Then I placed each nut rolled bun in a cupcake paper in a muffin tin. I baked the buns at 400〫for 17-minutes. When they were done baking I removed them from the oven, and while they were still hot placed one teaspoon of the frosting that came with the buns on top of each one. The heat of the bun will spread the frosting over the top of the cupcake for you.

Oh, my main course was a mini-meatloaf topped with a slice of homegrown tomato and wrapped with a slice of bacon and oven baked sweet potato fries.
