For a different twist this Friday, I’d like to start off with a couple of puzzles of my own …
ROB’S PUZZLE #1 While I was cleaning house yesterday, I decided to freshen up my MAC. I removed the photo of Wotan and the Serpent from the Met Opera production of Das Rheingold, and replaced it with a classic painting.

Chocolate wizard! Humbug! I did my own version and called it GANDALF THE GREEN.
So, I didn’t have any old Hershey Bar wrappers or chocolate-brown folding paper. I wanted to do Gandalf the Grey, but I didn’t have any gray paper. Anyway Gandalf was known as Gandalf the Green when he was just starting out.
3 – A PENT UP PENTAGON Mensa puzzle …

If I would have stayed with trying to solve the puzzle I probably would have solved it. I knew the five highest value numbers had to go in the cent of each line. But trying to distribute the five lowest value numbers on the corners ran me ragged. Starting at the top and moving right — 1 – 10 – 3 – 6 – 5 – 7 – 2 – 8 – 4 – 9 – 1
