DAILY CALENDAR CHALLENGE #067 – MARCH 8
#1 THE ORIGAMI CALENDAR CHALLENGE – SUNRISE
This challenge actually left me wanting a bit more creative.
To me it looked more like a little girl named Ginger reading a book instead of the sunrise. While the original puzzle instruction page had the advantage of using pencil drawn rays around the sun to let you know it was supposed to be the sun; there was no way to do this with the folded piece by itself. Also the artist who drew the model added an extra fold to make the sun more orb-like. Only one fold was indicated on step three.
#2 THE MENSA PUZZLE CALENDAR – HOLLYWOOD SQUARES
I was able to figure this one out on the very first attempt. And in case you would like to give the puzzle a try, I will put the name of the seventh and down actor in the comments section.
#3 THE PAGE-A-DAY PUZZLE – SECRET WORD
CLUE - N is the letter shared from both blocks of letter tiles. Again, the answer will be in my comment to this post.

The mystery actor is HOLDEN in the fifth row down.
The secret word is UNFIT
It is so sad when I’m too mentally lazy to try these puzzles! But I did get a kick out of Ginger reading her book. =)
Sometimes origami needs a lot of imagination to figure out what it is.
