DAILY CALENDAR CHALLENGE #056 – FEBRUARY 25

#1 THE ORIGAMI CALENDAR CHALLENGE – FISHDSC05690

Today challenge was to fold a fish that was either a salmon or a pollack. Or since the folding paper was a red plaid, it might have been a red plaid snapper. Gee, I could get a job writing jokes for Seth McFarland. DSC05686I used the Fish Base I made on Saturday learning how to turn the Kite Base into the Fish Base.

#2 THE MENSA PUZZLE CALENDAR – SMALL CROSSWORDDSC05687

Being totally inept when it comes to machinery I couldn’t answer 1. Across or 1 Down. But since I knew the answers to the other six questions, I was able to solve the puzzle. The across answers were camomitgonekin which gives you the down answers cogamokminiten. I actually fared better here than I did on my Oscar ballot. I would have had a 12/12 split if it wasn’t for the dumb TIE award. So my final score was 11.5 to 12.5. Oh, well, there’s always next year.

#3 THE PAGE-A-DAY PUZZLE CALENDAR – HIDATO RETURNSDSC05673

Don’t let the pristine completed puzzle fool you. I filled in the squares with a soft lead pencil, that’s why you can’t see my many, many  repeated erasures. The left side of the grid was really tricky.
