DAILY CALENDAR CHALLENGE #119 – APRIL 29

#1 THE ORIGAMI CALENDAR CHALLENGE – PLACE CARD TREAT BASKETDSC06864

Well, I’ve folded this challenge three times now, and none of my folds look like the one on the calendar. I keep screwing up at point 7, and end up with something that looks like this …DSC06865

So I decided to yield on this particular challenge, which will bring my score to 118 completed and 1 fail. This doesn’t mean I won’t try again once I find other folding instructions. Until then, I serve my Craisins in the rowboat I successfully refolded on Saturday.DSC06869

#3 THE PAGE-A-DAY PUZZLE CALENDAR – MAGIC NUMBERS

DSC06867
Am I going to let a bunch of kids stump me with their puzzle? No way! I know that 2 + 2 = 4 / 2 x 2 = 4 is one of the answers and the other one is a trick. I’ll figure out the second answers once I have time to meditate. Never mind, looking at the puzzle page above I just figured out what they did. They just used zero as a number. Something we never did back in ye olde days when I was a kid. Back then, since zero had no value, the result would never change. So we never would say 0 x o = 0.

  1. Chop up some red cabbage, through in some craisins, and add sunflower seeds or nuts. This makes a great little salad and requires no dressing.
