FRIDAY – DAY 193: Guess what? I didn’t do laundry or cut the grass yesterday. By the time I was ready to start cutting, I realized that the water line had sprung a leak somewhere at the top of the hill, and a small rivulet was washing up at the foot of my front lawn. No way was I going to mow a soggy lawn with an electric lawn mower. A short time later I discovered I wouldn’t be doing laundry either because the water workmen were turning the water off while they replaced the leaking main. Lordy, lordy! He does work in mysterious ways! So I moved on to the next item of the To-Do list and went shopping to buy a new toaster oven. No single gentleman should be without a toaster oven for more than a week. Even though I had a 20% off coupon for BB&B, I probably spent more than I should on it. But I’ll have toast for breakfast, if I can ever decipher the instruction manual. Also I have no excuse for not doing the grass or the laundry today.

Now, I know the KOALA is not really a bear, but this origami looks more like a dog. Guess I really should add a Mensa puzzle to make up for it.

About Robert Edler

... a somewhat unknown and/or imaginary actor, writer, director, producer, photographer, friend, brother, uncle and all round good fellow that you really should get to know because he lives with that most glamorous fourpaw Mademoiselle Renee. (Mlle. Renee for short)

  1. Ha–isn’t it nice when Fate intervenes? There’s nothing wrong with an extra day of rest. Though for me, shopping is anything but restful!
