MY DAILY CALENDAR…DAY 196 – JULY 15, 2013
MY CALENDAR – MONDAY, DAY 196: It’s hard to believe that were almost halfway through the month of July. Last week we got through an entire week of July without a hint of a sweltering heat wave. But the cool, clear, blue-skied days we had been enjoying came to an end shortly after sunset yesterday. Guess that put an end to the afternoon naps I’ve been enjoying in the cool shade of my tall cedar trees. Oh, well I got the lawns all mowed and the laundry washed. Which means I’ll probably spent the rest of the day folding the laundry, changing the bed sheets, vacuuming the floors, dusting and scrubbing the bathroom and kitchen. My mother used to be known as Mrs. Clean to my friends and family. Trust me, I didn’t inherit many of her housekeeping abilities.
After a weekend without any origami projects, today’s challenge is to create a pair of sunglasses by folding a dollar bill. And everyone knows you can’t get a good pair of sunglasses for under $100 these days. So not wanting to get the hopes up of a friend from the long star state, I managed to make the glasses for just a buck.
I thought I’d add a little something extra today to make up for the fact that I didn’t do any origami yesterday.
