MY DAILY CALENDAR…DAY 201 – JULY 20, 2013

MY CALENDAR FOR SATURDAY/DAY 201 – July 20, 2013: Well, yesterday was the bi-monthly lunch gathering of a bunch of guys with whom I went to high school way too many years ago. As usual we met in the back room of the U City Pizza House. We’re a rather motley medley of lawyers, judges, butchers, mechanics, insurance agents, college professors, accountants, brokers, bankers and even advertising writer/producers who graduated from an all boys, Catholic high school that disappeared from the face of the earth eight years after we graduated. Our topics of conversation runs the gamut of aches, pains, vacations,  golf, the cost of gasoline, a former teacher of ours who we all hate and who is now sitting in a prison in Louisiana for the murder of a couple of women, grandchildren, gay marriage (and why it will never make it through the Missouri bible belt based legislature), and wonder dogs like Mlle. Renee. And it’s good to note that about a third of them look way older than me. Unfortunately, another third looks a lot younger, too!

It also rained again in the afternoon, but I was already at home taking a nap.

MY ORIGAMI CALENDAR CHALLENGE – ANOTHER WEEKEND NOTHING: DSCF0597

HO! HUM! Another two-day wast of paper. Actually a bunch of my past projects flocked in to protest the lack of creativity.DSCF0598

In other words, they thought it was for the birds!

Anyway, here’s a little Saturday puzzle.DSCF0602

About Robert Edler

... a somewhat unknown and/or imaginary actor, writer, director, producer, photographer, friend, brother, uncle and all round good fellow that you really should get to know because he lives with that most glamorous fourpaw Mademoiselle Renee. (Mlle. Renee for short)

  1. It’s always fun to get together with old friends and reminisce. I especially like the tale of your old professor, except for the poor women he murdered.
One of my schoolmates joined a commune, never to be heard from again. The Valedictorian got her PHD and promptly became a housewife. The Salutatorian got a BA in psychology, briefly became a registered nurse, and settled in as a massage therapist – not the good kind – the kind that give happy endings. You just never know what paths people will take.
