MY DAILY CALENDAR FOR MONDAY, DAY 244 OF 2013: Huzzah! It’s Labor Day and also the first day of meteorological fall. Our End of summer heat wave ended with a thunderstorm on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon and we’re currently back in the lower 80’s. Let me tell you, Renee and I really do appreciate that. Except to unavoidable reasons, I didn’t go out during the triple didgit heat days that ended the month. And yesterday my younger brother (by 3-years) picked me up for an early birthday dinner at his house across the river. DSCF1018

And trust me, no one ever looks older then when he’s trying to blow out birthday candles.DSCF1019Especially when someone sneaks in one of those practical joke candles that won’t blow out.

Since I got in late last night, Renee let me sleep in until noon today. Naturally, that meant she got to sleep in too.

After looking at the complicated folds, I decided to put it aside and work on it tomorrow when I’m feeling more alert. Well, it took me most of the day, and a lot of folding and refolding, but I finallly completed this noble steed  at 7 minutes past midnight.DSCF1031

I have no idea how long it will take me to complete tomorror’s project which is to fold a rider for the horse.

And in case your curiosity has been aroused, I will be turning 41 later this week.DSCF1021Or maybe 42. I’m not sure which date I used last year.

  1. Just use whatever number you feel like. Everyone thinks we’re senile and expects us to forget that stuff anyway.
