MY DAILY CALENDAR…DAY 288 – OCTOBER 15, 2013

MY DAILY CALENDAR FOR TUESDAY, DAY 288 OF 2013:  Rain today and then it turns cold tomorrow. I checked the furnace out yesterday, and its ready to go into heating mode as soon as the thermostat calls it into action. Unfortunately, Mlle. Renee did not enjoy the furnace test and wanted out of the house. And the rest of the day she walked around smelling the heat vents. I took her mind of of the furnace by making a Swiss and Jack Cheese Melt on Dark German Wheat Bread.DSC07865

One whiff of melted cheese and she was sitting at attention at the corner of the kitchen table. Yes, I gave her the cheese that had melted off the bread when it cooled.  My sandwich was a ooey gooey delight. I ate it with a glass of V-8 juice that added two servings of veggies to my lunch. After lunch I did the yard pickup and waste removal before the anticipated rain.

TODAY’S ORIGAMI CHALLENGE: Thank goodness we’re back to real origami folding again. Today’s project was to create a Bird Of Prey.

It wasn’t a complicated fold and the end product does look like a swooping preditor.DSC07871
