MY DAILY CALENDAR…DAY 302 – OCTOBER 29, 2013
MY DAILY CALENDAR FOR TUESDAY, DAY 302 OF 2013: Just because I did a bit of shopping while I was getting my hair cut yesterday, I was able to fix a special breakfast for this morning.
HALLOWEEN CINNAMON PECAN ROLLS
Yes, they came out of a tube, but I did add the chopped pecans myself. I think my Halloween black cat thinks the Pillsbury Doughboy is a mouse in disguise. I notice my Sherlock Holmes mug is giving him the eye, too. The buns were good for the amount of time it took to prepare them … but they weren’t as good a the Cinnamon Swirls I made from scratch last week.
I don’t know if I mentioned it, but my long time friend Mr. Bill is moving from his 100-year old family home in the city to a more modern user-friendly home in the suburbs. And I spent the day designing his We’re Moving card.
Since he won’t be moving until mid to late December, the actual design of the card is still under wraps. But the above elements will be part of the finished card.
Let’s just say I gave this project three tries, but the tricks to producing the proper finished product just kept eluding me. The elements are all there, but they not falling into place like the should.
If I have time I might give it another try tomorrow.
This is a new addition to the Halloween collection. I found it a couple of weeks ago in one of the Target Dollar Bin end caps. It’s a pin cushion, and I’ll probably give it to my niece who was born on Halloween.
THE HALLOWEEN WEEK POLL – DAY THREE:
When you went Trick or Treating as a kid, what was your favorite TREAT? Also what was your dastardly TRICK?
[Licorice in any shape or form was my favorite treat. My trick was a dramatic vocal rendition of an old German song “When Papa put the paper on the wall!” with pantomime and dance routine.]
