MY DAILY CALENDAR…DAY 303 – OCTOBER 30, 2013
MY DAILY CALENDAR FOR WEDNESDAY, DAY 303 OF 2013: Told Renee this morning that I’m spending too much time doing housework around here. She said she would gladly lick all the dishes and pots and pans and possibly do the dusting on all the areas she could reach with her tail. Even though she has a very cute white-tipped tail, I replied, “NEVERMIND!” Ok, I admit that I have a slight tendency to procrastinate with the routine household chores like laundry, making my bed and the dishes. But they do get done. Especially if I expecting company. Did you know I can get the entire house ship-shape in less than an hour. As long as you don’t open the doors to the guest bedroom, the closets, and the sun porch. Right now we’re in a period of warm, rainy weather … so I don’t have to consider mowing the lawn or raking leaves. The rain is really causing the leaves to fall faster, and that provided me with my WORDLESS WEDNESDAY PHOTO earlier today. This is the first shot I considered using …
I liked the wood grain and the leaves, but it really wasn’t very impressive and it doesn’t convey FALL IS FALLING.
TODAY’S ORIGAMI CHALLENGE – TIGER: Todays project was part one of a two part origami fold.Thankfully, it was a two-part project, because I didn’t get it finished (my third try) until 11:55 pm. It’s a very small, multi layered fold. And the instructions really didn’t show you how to achieve the tiger’s head. I cheated and went online to the video tiger tutorial.
For some reason, he looks more like a house-cat than a tiger. Anyway, come back tomorrow to see the completed origami tiger.
Anyway, my flapping origami red bird really didn’t see much action during the World Series. Guess that means he’s a bad omen. All-in-all, I’m kind of glad Boston managed to win. Good grief, the Boston fans haven’t witnessed a home World Series win in 95-years. Besides, the Cards were playing like they had stage fright.
This is actually the first time I saw today’s puzzle. Will have to give it some thought.
To be really honest, while my favorite pie is PUMPKIN, I have never had a real live pumpkin in this house in my lifetime. All my pumpkins come in cans. But I acknowledge the talent need to turn a pumpkin into a work of art with this photo I’ve saved for years. Though a pumpkin pie is also a work of art in my humble opinion.
