MY DAILY CALENDAR – DAY 311 – NOVEMBER 7 , 2013

My Daily Calendar for Thursday, Day 311 of 2013: From a totally blah chilly Wednesday, we move to a hopefully warmer super sunny Thursday. Does that mean Mlle. Renee and I  move outside to chase the fallen leaves off the back lawn? Or do we stay in and loaf around the house? Or do the laundry. Must check the underwear and sock count before I make that decision. Decisions … decisions?

JUST WONDERING? What’s your opinion of dollar coins? Have you ever used any? Do you refuse to use them?

A lot of people refuse to use them because they say they’ll get them confused with quarters. Or they’re too hard to carry in your pockets. Personally, I’ve been using them since they started issuing them in the gold finish.  I’ve never confused them with a quarter. This is mainly because I use the public transit system, and it is easier to put a dollar coin in an automatic fare box than trying to feed a limp dollar bill in one.  I feel it is time for the Treasury Department to (1) stop minting pennies and (2) stop printing dollar bills.  It actually costs more to print dollar bills than to mint dollar coins. And the lifetime of a paper dollar is far shorter than a coin that will virtually last forever. Just saying!

TODAY’S ORIGAMI CHALLENGE – THE HELICOPTER:HELICOPTER

This was actually harder to fold than I thought it would be. And once I got it folded, how would I be able to make it fly in print?DSC08159

Ok, trust me! It might not fly, but it does spin as it crashes to the floor.

Remember, the clues are in random order. So #2 goes with Clue c. for example. Now, you should be able to answer the rest.

OOPS! JUST REALIZED I FORGOT TO CHANGE ONE OF THE CLOCKS!clock

Is that clock smiling at me? Just keep looking at it.

    4. census genius
    5. rudest rodent

  2. I usually do not use my dollar coins. I drop them in the piggy bank. And though I know they’re expensive, I love pennies. I would miss them if they went away.
