MY DAILY CALENDAR FOR THURSDAY, DAY 318 OF 2013: Well, it wasn’t as cold today as it was yester day, but the leaves continue to fall on the back lawn … from all the neighbors’ trees. My two maple trees are leafless, and the illegal alien leaves are creeping over the chain link fence borders of the back yard. And they’re doing it in broad daylight. Big ugly sycamore, and catalpa, sweet gum and locust.DSC08228

Look how the dwarf thew petite maple leaves. If it doesn’t rain on Saturday, they’ll soon be gone, gone, gone!

And speaking of being gone …DSC08231A seriously deflated and somewhat haunting birthday balloon fell to the floor this afternoon … and couldn’t get up. A clique of clowns were called, but they were unable to resuscitate the fallen balloon. After a brief service the ghost balloon was interred for his trip to the helium heaven.DSC08236Farewell flightless friend, and don’t make any plans about sneaking back during the night.  Mlle. Renee will be watching for you!

TODAY’S ORIGAMI CHALLENGE – PARROT: Today’s puzzle was yet another two-day folding project. And since it is quite complicated, I am taking two days to fold it.
