MY DAILY CALENDAR – DAY 329 – NOVEMBER 25, 2013

MY DAILY CALENDAR FOR MONDAY, DAY 329 OF 2013: I just realized, Christmas is only a month away! Where has 2013 gone? Is it just me, or do the pages of the calendar turn faster the older you get? Mlle Renee comments: “Relax, take multiple naps every day … and life will all slow down.” Also, I’ve only have two days to complete my cooking assignments for two Thanksgiving dinners. (Two batches of my classic assorted dinner rolls, Grandma’s Carrot and Pineapple Gelatin Salad, and Pumpkin Bars.) Hopefully I won’t sample too much while preparing it. Ditto for two dinners.

TODAY’S ORIGAMI CHALLENGE – A SIX POINTED STAR:DSC08333Amazing! Finally a practical origami challenge! And it actually works. And since Thursday’s holiday is shared by Thanksgiving and the first day of Hanukkah, the  six-pointed Star Of David fits in too! I used a specially printed piece paper for making my star, and it worked perfectly.DSC08334

We know who is the star around here, don’t we? NOTE: I did make a couple of minor adjustments in to make final result work with the pre-printed paper. I also used a slightly thicker presentation paper for a sturdier star.

A PRE-HOLIDAY SNEAK PEAK AT THE SMILING BAGEL CREATIVE CENTER:DSC08345This a photo of the work center in my office. Notice today’s origami star has been affixed to the computer. Also the Renee screen saver is the same as what I printed on today’s folding paper. Pay no attention to the kitten climbing the lamp shade. That belonged to my mother.

  1. That star needs to hang on the Christmas tree! But we’ve always known Renee is a superstar.
