MY DAILY CALENDAR – DAY 339 – DECEMBER 5, 2013
MY DAILY CALENDAR FOR THURSDAY, DAY 339 OF 2013: Let me start by noting that the high temperature for Wednesday afternoon was 67 degrees farenheit. According to the weather wizards … we should have enjoyed it while we could because today is going to be below freezing. That means when the rain starts falling around noon, it will start freezing accumulating as ice followed by snow. So like every other local I rushed to the supid-market to stock up on bread, milk and ice melter. Then when I go home I moved my recycling cart down the drive and outside the gate so I will only have to move it a short distance to the curb for Friday morning’s pickup. Black top drives get very slick and slippery when covered with ice followed by snow. As for Mlle. Renee and myself, we’ll get up before the ice and snow starts so she can take care of her morning yard business. Then we’ll both jump back in bed and sleep-in until the house warms up. And if it doesn’t ice and snow, we’ll still sleep-in.
To prepare Mother Nature’s children for the bad weather, I put a dish of whole grain bread bits and seed out for them yesterday to tide them over for when the ice and snow starts. They all roost in the tall spruce tree or the thick cedar trees in the yard so they’re sheltered by the foul weather.
Mr. Nibbles also stopped by for a few bites, too. He and the birds share their common food dish without pushing or shoving. Except for the mourning doves who just want to sit in the middle of the dish and pig out.
I have no idea what the light brown bird sitting on the dish is, but the starling is going to push him off shortly.
EUREKA! Now what can you put into it?
SO WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE CALENDARS RUN OUT AT THE END OF THE MONTH?
But SUDOKU puzzles don’t translate very well into a daily blog post.
