MY WORLD AND WELCOME TO IT — SNOW DAZE TWO!
Well, I ventured out to the neighborhood Quik-Trip today to replenish my vanished milk supply. To get to the semi-cleared portion of the street, I had to brave knee-deep snow piles. The only cleared path was the one I cleared from my front door to the plow pile-up at the end of my lawn. I just realized, it’s not easy being old. Though I slid on slick spots twice, I remained upright throughout my trips. While I did score a half-gallon of Prairie Farm 2%, I was not able to get any bread. I also wasn’t able to get any oyster crackers for the chili I made for dinner tonight. And no, I didn’t venture forth with camera in hand either to record my snow walking adventure.
I really didn’t miss the oyster crackers in the chili because I had something better. When I did my holiday shopping I picked up a coupon for $3.00 on Snyder’s Sourdough Pretzel Nubbins when you bought a second pound bag. That made the deal a BOGO. And they were better than great with the chili!
Even though Mlle. Renee has been tracking that wasscally wabbit for the last three evenings we’re no closer to wabbit stew. The rabbit hops over the snow, while Renee goes through it like a snow plow.
