SO WHAT’S NEW AND EXCITING IN WEST WALNUT MANOR?
THE HAIL, YOU SAY!
You better believe it! Not to mention the thunder, lightning and rain! The rain water running down the gutter in the street was over three-feet wade. That’s a lot of rain water runoff! But that isn’t the worst of it, THE REAL STORMS AREN’T SUPPOSED TO START UNTIL TOMORROW!!!
Mlle. Renee was really agitated about the thunder which seemed to be located directly over our house. She was even too agitated to even take a Benadryl wrapped in Swiss. But I talked to her and rubbed behind her ears until she jumped up on my bed and went to sleep. Sometimes my bed seems to be the only safe place in the house … even if I’m not sleeping in it. Anyway, I’ve heard of April showers, but this was rather extreme. Tomorrow, they’re adding tornadoes to the mix. Guess I better use the rest of my orchid photos up today.
Well, that’s the last of the orchids until next year’s ORCHID SHOW from the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Hope you enjoyed them. Now, if I could only have a lush, tropical sunlight pool like this to sit by as I read from my Kindle …
Anyway, I had planned on getting my hair cut today, but luckily my morning golly-gagging and procrastination saved me from the downpours and hail bruising. Maybe, I’ll go bake a lemon merangue pie instead. I found this package of My-T-Fine pie filling in the back of food cabinate yesterday and I was wondering if it is still good. Won’t know until I try.
