And second, I went to my grocery store and discovered …DSC00004


Of course they were grown in Arkansas, but that’s just across the state line. Besides they were setting up the signage and shelf space for HOME GROWN MISSOURI TOMATOES which were probably being unload on the loading dock. But I was drooling over the luscious looks of the ones at hand, and I couldn’t wait. So I bagged two and headed for home with the rest of my groceries.

And then for lunch!DSC00003

I had the first buttered fresh-baked whole wheat bread and tomato sandwich. The sandwich wasn’t baked, but the bread was. It was sliced in the store and had a crispy crust.

Then for dinners I made stuffed peppers and Mexican-style corn.DSC00007

Boy, that was good eats.
