THE FIRECRACKER BUTTERFLY
Ok, even I can see the mistake I made in folding this one. And I don’t know how to correct it.
SO, WHAT DID YOU FIX FOR YOU FOURTH OF JULY HOLIDAY DINNER?
Earlier this week I was watching the Today Show and I saw them grilling spiral cut hot dogs. So what would be more fitting for a holiday dinner? To spiral cut your dogs, you have to run a skewer through the length of the dog. Then, with a sharp knife make a diagonal cut in the dog to the skewer and slowly roll the dog down your cutting board until you reach the opposite end of the dog. Remove the skewer from the hot dog and pull both ends slightly to reveal a corkscrew hot dog. Place on your grill and allow the meat to your perfection of grilling. I’m not keen about grill over an open fire, so I used a skillet on my kitchen stove.
Of course, the hot dogs were all beef and they went quite well with a couple of dabs of mustard and sweet pepper relish. Sides were Boston Baked Beans and Corn On The Cobbetts. And then I realized I forgot the Apple Pie for dessert.
