ART IN BLOOM – 2016

Well, another year has past and it is again time to return to the St. Louis Museum Of Fine Art to discover more works of art reinterpreted as floral displays.DSC02042

And as you can see, some of the Museum’s works of  art come with their own floral displays. Others need a little help.

While some of the floral interpretations work, others are a bit iffy. (Alright, I’ll admit that this painting of the sidewalks of New York on a rainy winter day is one of my favorite works.)

But then, it’s also hard to compete with a classic building that has been around town since 1904 when it was built for some kind of World’s Fair. In case you’re wondering, the tables and chairs are being set up for the evening crowd to sit and sip a drink or two and listen to the string quartet.

Well, that’s it for this year’s Art In Bloom. And I’ll leave you with a quick look at my favorite staircase in the building.
